At Willowgrove Dental, we recognize that insurance forms and policies can be complicated. It is our goal to help simplify this part of your dental visit as well. As such, we process insurance claims and accept payment directly from insurance companies. At the time of your appointment, if applicable, your insurance will be processed electronically. If your insurance informs us of their payable portion at the time of service, you will be asked to pay any remaining balance.

However, due to some privacy policies, communication with insurance companies can be difficult and we appreciate your patience and your cooperation. Although we will do all we can to help you with your dental insurance, it is your responsibility to understand your dental benefits coverage and we encourage you to ask your insurance company if you are unsure of your coverage amounts.

Your dental health is important to us; therefore, we recommend treatments according to your needs and not according to your dental insurance company contract. For instance, if your dental health requires more frequent hygiene procedures, and your coverage is only for once a year, we will recommend you to pay the difference. We are there to take care of your teeth and not to answer to the restrictions of each dental plan.

Please keep in mind:

• Dental benefit companies do not inform dental offices of change to your policy. This is the policy holder’s responsibility
• Benefit coverage is a contract between yourself, the insurance company and your employer, not the dental office
• We suggest that you get updated information from your insurance company before making your dental appointments to be sure no changes have been made to your dental plan
